P o r t r a i t   Being familiar with the international lumber, log and veneer business for more than 30 years Matthias Morath belonged to those who initially started promoting the Northamerican hardwoods in Germany while INTREE-HAMBURG-GMBH finally was founded in 1984. In 1992 teamed up by Wolfgang Baye and later by Sibille Roehrs and Zarina Habib Intree Hamburg proudly represents today outstanding US and Canadian hardwoods and Yellow Pine shippers / producers on exclusive basis. We consequently do focus and are marketing only wood species from the Northamerican Eastcoast which enables us to match the steadily increasing demand for specialities. Additional to a wide variety of specifications we see our basic business - however - in " programs ", i.e. long term contracts with the European wood industry ( flooring / furniture / kitchen cabinet / window stock / stairsteps etc. ). While the traditional distribution yards as well as major manufacturers belong to our customers in Germany / Denmark / Austria and Switzerland our key issue and philosophy is personal relationship based on confidence and reliability.
